STREAM 1 – 13.30 to 14.00

Master Class 1.1 – How AI and AR are really driving the next digital wave

Great digital products and services don’t materialise from thin air, they are the outcome of a clear strategy. Whether you must support product development, manufacturing, logistics, marketing or HR, the combination of AI and AR creates unmatched opportunities in product & service differentiation, cost effectiveness and communication with stakeholders. This master class will examine:

  • how advanced technology can become the interface with the world
  • how to team up with algorithms that turn feedback into a concrete strategy
  • how computers are mastering human language and the opportunities that come with it

Master Class 1.2 – Securing your cloud to enable continous innovation

This master class will exlore how the US Transportation Command, the largest military logistics organization in the world, has partnered with Hitachi Vantara to build a cloud security framework and reduce the time to value from their first migrations into the cloud. It will highlight how this case may be templatised and how this can accelerate your own cloud journey through a culture of continuous innovation with DevSecOps. It will also reveal the key lessons learned in ensuring tomorrow's readiness through better resiliency and advanced cyber domain capabilities.

STREAM 2 – 14.00 to 14.30

Master Class 2.1 – Delivering exceptional customer experience through a design-to-deliver approach

Jeff Bezos states “Obsessing over customer experience is the only long-term defensible competitive advantage”, still many organizations struggle connecting the dots and fail to embark on a successful customer engagement journey. Today, an innovative design-to-deliver approach that embraces different roles and methods (e.g. design-thinking, lean start-up and SAFe) is the foundation to realize customer experience transformation and value.

Master Class 2.2 - Digital ethics: high time for CIOs and CDOs to take action!

While cloud, big data, IoT, robotics and AI are creating huge business opportunities, digital ethics arrive on every CIO and CDO agenda as they are responsible for defining the ethics around adopting, using and deploying technology that lies with their organizations. This master class will explore how to build a framework for digital ethics and highlight the benefits of doing ethics right and the costs of falling short. It will also highlight which concrete actions and guiding principles CIOs and CDOs must take internally and externally to prevent unintended consequences that could affect a digital organization’s short- and long-term sustainability.

Master Class 2.3 - Setting up a winning cloud transformation strategy: key steps, metrics and best practices

In an ongoing digital race, IT organizations are constantly challenged with managing the complex mix of legacy and cloud infrastructure which is quickly changing in their hybrid IT environments. A winning cloud transformation journey must start with useful methodologies that help define the service catalog, adopt best practices for automation, and organize teams to operate clouds that serve multiple stakeholders. This very practical session will be highlighted by examples of reliable methodologies, useful metrics, real-world examples and selected best practices.

When experience is seen as the organizing principle of the global economy, the capability of combining experience data and operational data has become the central foundation to measure, improve and deliver the 4 intrinsic business experiences: customer, employee, product, and brand. But incorporating X-data into internal systems like ERP, CRM, Supply Chain Planning or HR systems has 3 major pre-requisites:

  • Siloes of X-data must be eliminated across teams and tools
  • Fragmented tools & systems must be unified to harmonize data and reduce security and compliance risks
  • X-data must be connected with operations, people and business processes to enable the intelligent enterprise from the outside-in

Master Class 3 .3 – Can you really deliver outstanding agility and return on investment....quickly?

Increased agility, larger flexibility, better control, lower TCO and more tangible financial return is a never ending journey for all CIOs. This master class will investigate how leading organizations are reaching cloud-like agility and economics from their existing infrastructure while keeping on-premises control of their operations, processes and investments. Moreover, it will explore how consumption-based IT may revolutionize the IT experience by drastically boosting ROI and lowering time to value.
